Learning Academies are economic classes for high school students. The Academy challenges students to grow in their understanding of:

  • economics,
  • entrepreneurship, and
  • the pursuit of liberty and prosperity.

Students can then apply these concepts in their decision making and develop an economic way of thinking.

Urban Economics Academy

Urban Economics Academy is a program designed to teach economics through the urban context.

Current Events and The Economic Way of Thinking

This academy will study economics while exploring current events taking place in the world .

Sports and Economics Academy

The Sports and Economics academy will explore and apply an economic way of thinking to issues related to sports.

The Economics of Fashion Academy is crafted to shed light on the world of fashion and the many economic lessons that exist within the industry.

The Kanza Café Academy will give you the opportunity to be part of an elite “THINK TANK” to use what we have learned in Youth Entrepreneurs, new specialized proven concepts, and apply them to developing a plan of attack for the Topeka Public Schools owned café.

Interested in running or owning a restaurant? The Kanza Café Academy will give you the opportunity to be part of an elite “THINK TANK” to use what we have learned in Youth Entrepreneurs, new specialized proven concepts, and apply them to developing a plan of attack for the Topeka Public Schools owned café. The 501 school district knows what students learn in YE, and they would love these advancing students to take on the Kanza Café as “THINK TANK” project. We will be reviewing the revenue stream, marketing strategy, SWOT analysis, competitive advantage, value creation, and addressing the problems with solutions. Are you the one who wants to roll up their sleeves, become a project manager and see your ideas make a difference, if so RSVP today!
