  • RSM Marketing

    RSM Marketing has created an epic partnership experience for eight YE students or alumni interested in social media, photography, video production, graphic design, public relations, advertising or marketing. Students from the Wichita area will work in teams to develop a complete marketing campaign for Field Station: Dinosaur a new theme park filled with over thirty life-sized, robotic dinosaurs - opening in Derby, KS, on Memorial Day 2018. Throughout the partnership, students will be mentored by marketing experts at RSM to help with various aspects of the campaign from developing social media strategies, recording a :60 radio spot, producing a :30 TV commercial and designing a magazine ad. On the final day, each team will present their campaign to a panel of executives from RSM And Field Station: Dinosaur.

  • KTWU

    KTWU is non-commerical educational television station licensed to Washburn University of Topeka. KTWU serves 34 counties in Kansas, 12 counties in northwest Missouri and one county in northeast Oklahoma. KTWU broadcasts three streams of contents, 24 hours, 7-days each week. KTWU is involved with producing high quality, local, regional, national and international video content. KTWU is the most EMMY award-winning station in northeast Kansas with a 52-year history of providing broadcast, educational and new media services. Up to three YE alumni will be invited to experience each department with a tour and an activity. Departments include: Administration, Development & Fundraising, Programming/Content/Social Media, Production, Engineering, Promotion and Traffic.

  • Youth Education Volunteer

    Junior Achievement of Middle America and The School of Economics have formed a partnership for the summer of 2018 to offer the "More Than Money" program to youth in the area. JA is looking for one YE student to work with children from 4th-6th grades. First and foremost, this participant should demonstrate business acumen and serve as a role model. Additionally, the participant will assist with counting money and making change, producing and selling merchandise and developing a plan to pay back a loan (with interest) to make a profit.

  • CBIZ - Accounting

    CBIZ strives to deliver top level financial, benefits, and insurance services to organizations of all sizes as well as individual clients by providing national-caliber expertise, combined with highly personalized service delivered at the local level to over 90,000 clients throughout the U.S. Up to 10 YE alumni will be awarded the opportunity to tour the CBIZ campus, learn about their products and services, shadow CBIZ associates and interact with notable CBIZ clients.

  • KC Parks - Sports Management

    This week-long partnership for up to five YE alumni offers students the opportunity to gain an insight into the health, sports and fitness industry. Students will be tasked with solving a problem or enhancing a current program within a local fitness facility. During the week, students will visit varying facilities both locally and outside of the metropolitan area. Students can expect to spend time researching current sports and fitness trends, developing marketing materials and presenting their findings to industry professionals.

  • Bats Global Markets, INC/ Tradebot Systems, INC - Financial Systems

    This one-day partnership will give approximately 5-10 alumni the opportunity to spend the day learning about commodity and equity trading. Participants will begin their day at the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank, followed by a tour and round table discussion over lunch at Tradebot Systems. We will conclude the day at BATS Exchange, the third largest U.S. Equity market. Here students will become knowledgeable of investment trading and learn how new technologies are improving and changing the way trading occurs today.

  • NBC World Series

    Eight to 12 YE alum and current students will assist NBC staff in everyday duties both before the NBC World Series and during. Students will receive a strong insight to "behind the scenes" activity to managing a national sports event.

  • American Warrior - Entrepreneurship

    Are you interested in learning from one of the most successful entrepreneurs in Southwest Kansas? If so, American Warrior has graciously volunteered to teach up to 10 YE alumni the insights of business. Alumni will spend half a day with the American Warrior team learning about business and then toward the end of the day you will be given a business challenge. You and your team will get two weeks to work on the challenge and come back and make your presentations and possibly earn a scholarship up to $3,000.

  • ILUSION Productions

    This partnership is with Wichita's premier event production company, ILUSION Productions, Inc. You will work alongside the company's President and YE Alumnus, Seth Konkel. Two YE students or alum will have a behind the scenes look at Wichita's most successful biennial fundraising event, Biz Bang. Students will spend time preparing for the event by attending meetings, working on event related projects, setting up for the event along with being responsible for one specific project associated with the event. The partnership project will give students the ability to work with creative professionals, develop a marketing and sales plan, work on event placement and set-up as well as meet other industry and business professionals. Ideal students will be creative, work well under pressure, detail oriented and good at taking feedback.

  • Koch Industries - College Recruiting

    Thirty YE students will receive a crash course on the recruiting basics: the importance of a college degree, the value of staking your career with Koch companies, and benefits of living and working in Wichita. Day 1 - Tour Koch corporate headquarters and network with YE alumni working at Koch. Day 2 - You will work in groups to create your own branding strategy targeted to local high school students. Day 3 - You will pitch your recommendations to leadership for a chance to win various prizes.
